Stonehenge

One of the most famous prehistoric monuments in England. Stonehenge, is a setting of very large standing stones. Dating back to around 2500 BC, this marvelous site was probably used for religious purposes. If you used earlier versions of Microsoft’s Windows operating system, there is a good chance you’ve seen Stonehenge as a default background photo on the desktop.

I am lucky I don’t live far from there, but the day I visited this place wasn’t brilliant so I am eager to go there again on a nice and sunny day. When that time comes, I will try and take the same photo we’ve seen on the windows operating system.

There are many places in England that I really want to visit but I haven’t had enough time to plan for a trip.
